About Me

I have been in public education for 30 years and am a certified Reading Specialist.  I am trained in both Orton Gillingham and Reading Recovery and specialize in teaching K-8 students struggling with dyslexia or other learning blocks with literacy.  I believe in empowering students with the strategies, skills, and learning resources they need to achieve academic success. I understand that each student has a unique learning style  and how difficult it can be to receive the one-on-one support they need in the classroom. That’s why I cater my tutoring services to the particular needs and circumstances of each individual student.
